The capability of artificial intelligence is rapidly advancing with many industries benefiting from this. However to date the Health industry remains a laggard, with only small pockets of adoption despite considerable access to good quality data. In part this is due to the natural and understandable risk adversity of the Health system, in part due to little exposure to or knowledge of AI within Health.
The ROI of AI in Health may be greater than most other industries, with the dual effect of both improving patient outcomes while improving cost efficiency. With insufficient healthcare in many parts of the third world at the same time first world healthcare is becoming increasingly unaffordable, it is clear we need to radically change the healthcare delivery models to continue the gains of the past.
To achieve this will require a number of actions which are all part of the IntelliHQ vision.
I will expand on these in future posts.
