IntelliHQ welcomes Dr. Leo Anthony Celi, clinical research director and principal research scientist at the MIT Laboratory for Computational Physiology (LCP), aboard our AI in Healthcare program as an expert facilitator and course delivery partner.

Leo Anthony Celi will launch IntelliHQ’s AI in Healthcare training program with an opening keynote presentation at the Executive Masterclasses July 21st-22nd on the Gold Coast.

Dialling in from the USA to present on the ‘Translation of AI into Healthcare in Industry’, Leo will share his real-world experiences implementing AI models for health to help healthcare leaders gain a deeper understanding on the processes, potential and practicality of applying these tools for optimised efficiency. This session which includes a 20-minute QA will also introduce AI and big data analytics for healthcare and recognise the power of data sovereignty for future application and improvements to operations.

In addition to his work with MIT LCP, Leo is a practicing intensive care unit (ICU) physician at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC), and brings together clinicians and data scientists to support research using data routinely collected in the process of care. He has partnered as the course content creator for the program’s Clinicians and Researchers training launching 26th July which will empower the adoption of ai and big data by this cohort for the facilitation of their work.

Leo’s team built and maintains the Philips-MIT eICU Collaborative Research Database and the publicly-available Medical Information Mart for Intensive Care (MIMIC) database which has been pledged for use at the IntelliHQ Healthcare Datathon October 15-16th 2022.
